The Roman Catholic SaintSaint Adele,the Widow. A daughter of King Dagobert II of Germany, she became a nun when her husband died, Her son was to be the future father of StGergory of Urecht.Founding a convent at Palatiolum and became its first Abbess and ruling with holiness, prudence, and compassion. she was among the group of disciples of St. Boniface, which was known as the Apostle of Germany. A letter in his correspondence was addressed to her. Living a devout life filled sacrifices, holy work and communion with God, she died in 730.
